Zwieselalm is the highest and most scenic part of the Dachstein West ski area in Austria, where the states of Upper Austria and Salzburg meet.
The artwork depicts the scene from the top of run 10 looking towards the Panorama Jet gondola station. To the centre-right is the Sonnenalm mountain restaurant.
Pronounce it a little like ‘Switzerland’, and you’re good to go. The Zwieselalm area is the gateway to many destinations in Dachstein West ski area of Austria.
From here you can ski (or walk in the summer) over to the villages of Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg - all situated in the scenic mountainous and lakes area of the Salzkammergut.
