Central Network [Gallery Edition] | Details & Features
The Frozen Underground, with even more to discover.
The Central Network was the artwork from which the Frozen Underground grew: an imaginary transport system in which the stations are ski resorts and the routes travel through a world of mountains, snow and après-ski. Across its 192 stations, celebrated ski resorts from Europe and beyond become part of one imaginary Underground system, travelling through mountains, ski areas and international borders along routes including the Blue Run, Black Run and Le Vin Chaud lines.
But this edition is designed to reward a closer look: Its larger 80 × 60 cm format creates room not only for the additional skiing icons introduced on the Discovery Edition, but also for named cross-border ski areas, selected mountain-railway details, skiing records, historical firsts and other facts hidden throughout the network.
You might discover the highest ski resort in Europe, find out where and when the first chairlift was installed, spot the name of a famous cross-border ski area such as the Portes du Soleil, or come across a fact about one of skiing’s longest single descents.
And those are only the things you notice first.
The Gallery Edition is intended to be a piece of ski art that continues to reveal new details, stories and surprises long after it has been hung on the wall - the longer you look, the more you find.
